Short Biography
Anne Funk, born on June 8, 1980, is a distinguished German journalist and former government spokesperson for Saarland. She studied political science at the University of Trier, Bordeaux, and the École nationale d'administration in Strasbourg. Anne began her career as a journalist and editor at the Saarbrücker Zeitung, where she won the Young Talent Award of the German-French Journalists' Prize in 2007.
She joined the Saarland Ministry for Europe in 2010 and later became head of the department for German-French relations and European policy. In 2016, she was appointed head of the Bureau de la Sarre in Paris, and in 2018, became the government spokesperson for Saarland.
In 2024, Anne was part of Ursula von der Leyen's re-election campaign. She is a certified horse-assisted coach and a Health and Fitness Lifestyle Advisor from the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO). This unique fusion of skills allows her to offer innovative and holistic coaching sessions.
